Brian Ward, aka Audiosond, has been surrounded by music even before he was born.  His Brazilian mother raised and nurtured him with the sounds of Samba and Bossa Nova.  His lifelong interest in orchestrated music came from his British father who exposed him to everything from Beethoven to the Beatles.

Back in the 80’s, after hearing college radio in the San Francisco Bay Area, he was turned on to the emergence of electronic music.  Of course, commercially this genre was in it’s infancy, and he was in his adolescence. Some of these early influences were:  Human League, Depeche Mode, Souxie, Joy Division, New Order, Yaz, Petshop Boys etc.

A decade later, at the trough of the the late 80’s, early 90’s, he muddled in sonic confusion, until around 1993 he found himself in the middle of a rave. The rest just flowed.
